Programs

At Rita's Place, we believe children actively engage early in life.  So we've individualized our weekly activities to address the whole child's needs through games, puzzles, crafts, outside play, and stories.   Homework assistance is also provided in  addition to a variety of special programs encouraging agricultural awareness, musical self expression and physical activity.

We also offer Day Camps (for the days there is no school for students) and an 8-week summer camp from June to August.

Rita's Place offers a Day Camp for the days schools are closed for students.  Hours for day camp are 9:00am to 6:00pm.

Our Farm to Table Gardening Program is designed to teach the children the basics of gardening, build agricultural awareness, explore the idea of farming, develop openness to experiencing new and fresher foods, encourage healthy personal food choices and create an appreciation of the environment.  This hands-on program meets with a gardening expert to plant and maintain the Rita's Place Garden which includes seasonal appropriate vegetables. herbs and flowering plants.

Our Movement and Fun Program is designed to teach the children about the importance of physical activity by  They experience and learn about different genres of music, various  types of musical instruments (including their history), incorporated with dance and physical activity.
